What if...
you could
feel
better?
Frustration due to feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, out of control, going through a life transition or not satisfied with your work or relationship(s) are all great reasons to seek therapy, and things that I can help with. It's also okay not to be able to pinpoint exactly what is going on - but you are sure something is off and you want to feel better. I work with individuals who want to let go of old patterns that no longer serve them, and to gain a better understanding of where those patterns come from, to promote permanent and lasting change.
As a trauma therapist, I understand the deep impact that historical trauma has as well as acute trauma happening now or recently. It is vital to a healing journey to be able to work through this, safely and with tools to allow for deeper healing and relief. I work with survivors of trauma, including those that meet criteria for PTSD or cPTSD, or anyone who has experienced a profound loss of control. Brainspotting is phenomenal way to work through this.
Relationships. We are biologically predisposed to seek connection with others. We are the most invested in the ones we care the most for, so it’s no wonder that intense emotions follow. Luckily, therapy can help you navigate these relationships (intimate partner, parent(s), family, siblings, colleagues, friends) and provide a deeper understanding of what you would like and need from them, and what boundaries to hold.
Our primary relationships growing up have shaped how we relate today. We can explore what is coming up for you now, and also make space for considering the messaging and attachment you experienced growing up. Sometimes we are unaware of how things like emotional neglect, being parentified, witnessing intense fighting, high expectations, walking on eggshells, or feeling overly independent have affected us.
The world is also changing quickly and existential concerns such as climate change, collective unconscious anxiety, questions about having a family or keyed-up tension can manifest. Therapy is a great space to process this.
If you are experiencing relationship issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief or stress, trauma, perfectionism, or inner critic, I can help.
